About The Book

Wes Rockville, a disgraced law-enforcement agent, gets one last chance to prove himself and save his career when he's reassigned to a 232-year-old secret government organization.

The Witches Protection Program.

His first assignment: uncover a billion-dollar cosmetics company's diabolical plan to use witchcraft for global domination, while protecting its heiress Morgan Pendragon from her aunt's evil deeds. Reluctantly paired with veteran witch protector, Alastair Verne, Wes must learn to believe in witches...and believe in himself.

Filled with adventure and suspense, Michael Okon creates a rousing, tongue-in-cheek alternate reality where witches cast spells and wreak havoc in modern-day New York City.

The Review

I'm not really into the whole witches and shape-shifters genre but the way that this Author can bring you into a story and make you want more, is a total worthy read for anyone!

Wes Rockville has one last chance to prove to his father and the department that he works for, that he is a worthy law enforcement officer. But he is thrown for a shocker when he is sent to a secret government program called WPP aka Witches Protection Program. It's when he is given his first assignment that he realizes how far he will go in order to save his career while saving those in need, while learning important life lessons along the way with an ending that started it all!

I so don't want to spoil anything but I so hope that there will be a second book in this series just to see what happens next for Wes and Alastair, especially how Alastair deals with the secret he reveals toward the ending! Like I said in the beginning, I'm not big into fantasy books but the way Michael Okon can tell a story, it can turn anyone who loves action reads with a taste of horror!

Thank You to Michael Okon for this book that so deserves to be turned into a movie!!

About The Book

Was that a flash of lightning? A rumble of thunder?

Better get ready--there's a new crew in town!

As Bulldozer piles up clouds and Tanker Truck hauls the rain, the whole Thunder Truck gang works together to build a tremendous storm.

Brimming with energy and fun, this cheerful bedtime story is perfect for snuggling, no matter the weather.

The Review

This book has to be one of the most perfect books that I have read for early readers that shows thunderstorms in a cool way that they would totally understand!

I only read a kindle version of this book and the pictures were truly outstanding in that version, I can only imagine what it might be like in a hardcover version! The whole concept of this story is how a thunderstorm is made but by various heavy equipment, perfect for those kids who loves trucks! The story was done in a way that makes thunderstorms cool and not scary at all and it even has a little guide in the end on how a storm is really formed for those who want to learn more!

Overall, this is a great story with really cool illustrations that is perfect for that early reader who loves trucks and weather!

Thank You to Cheryl Klein, Katy Beebe, & Mike Boldt for this read that put a smile on my face while reading this awesome book!

I love books -- reading them, holding them, even smelling them! Growing up in the Midwest, my family would spend summers at our local public library. Later, I was lucky enough to study at the medieval University of Oxford, where there are so many books that you can catch their scent rising up from vents in the sidewalks.

I now teach medieval history at the University of Texas at Arlington, and I incorporate the history of books and "book making" into my classes whenever I can. As you might be able to tell from my books (there are more to come after Brother Hugo and the Bear!), I also love to share this history with younger readers, as well.
