About The Book
Did Brad's dad make him sad? Brad thought he had...until his dog, Plaid,
proved he could choose his outlook & feel glad.
Kids learn best through stories. Empower your child to own their feelings with this beautifully illustrated picture book by
award-winning author, M.C. Goldrick.
Brad's dog Plaid shows him how to feel and deal with
emotions. Though Brad is having a bad day, Plaid shows him that it's in his
power to choose his perspective and his feelings.
The ReviewThis was an interesting picture book for kids that are learning how to deal with their emotions. It was done in a way that all kids can understand the story with the young boy just having a bad day and letting his emotions take over him until he soon realizes that even though he yelled at his dog, the dog is still happy. I think that it teaches the simple thing of living in the moment and that alone is something that more people need to learn or at least in my mind it does.
Any book that teaches kids a valuable life lesson is a good book to have in any Library! Plus, any book that has a dog to help teach the lesson is just total icing on the cake!
Thank You to M.C. Goldrick for this good book with those awesome illustrations!
I voluntarily reviewed this complementary book from Rachel's Random Resources!
